1. Creating a TikTok Ad Account
To start your TikTok marketing campaign, you need to create an ad account. You can do this in the TikTok Ads Manager on the platform. Here, you will be asked to pick your billing country or region. Then, you need to choose whether you will use this TikTok account for individual or business purposes. You can click "Next" after that.
To create the TikTok ad account, you are also required to provide some basic information. This includes your email address (the active one) along with the password. Make sure that you use the verification code you receive via email to sign up for the account.
2. Creating and Installing the TikTok Pixel
When setting up TikTok ads, you also need to create the TikTok Pixel and install it. Here, you need to select “Developer Mode” or “Standard Mode”. Then, you can create your TikTok Pixel simply by setting up “Web Event”.
3. Creating a New Campaign
You can create a new campaign on your TikTok account under the “Campaigns” tab. Then, make sure that you push the “Create” button. It will provide you with the option to pick your campaign objectives. Don’t forget to give a name to your campaign. After that, make sure you set the minimum campaign-level budget for your TikTok marketing campaign.
4. Creating an Ad Group
To create an ad group on TikTok, you can start by choosing between “Website” or “App Install” as your marketing type. Once you have made your decision, make sure that you also define your target audience and select the type of delivery that you want to use.
5. Creating a New Ad
Make sure to configure your ad first before setting up your TikTok ad. Here, you will be given the option to preview the ad you have configured. Don't be afraid to be creative when customizing your ads and make it unique.
